Job summary

Contemporary Office Interiors in Toronto, ON is seeking a Designer – interior design with 2–3 years of experience. You will estimate project costs, prepare specifications, and create 3D models reflecting client needs.

You’ll read blueprints and advise on finishes, colors and furniture while coordinating with clients to define space requirements and safety needs. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and fluency in English, and offers permanent, full-time employment with varied shift timings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schemas and drawings.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Detail-oriented and client-focused.
  • Organized and flexible.
  • Capable of taking initiative and a good team player.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate costs of projects.
  • Prepare detailed specifications.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Create interior spaces reflecting clients’ needs and tastes.
  • Read blueprints, schemas, and drawings.
  • Advise on colours, finishes, materials, lighting, furniture and other items.
  • Consult with clients to determine needs, preferences, safety requirements and space purpose.
  • Develop detailed plans and 3D models showing layout of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and fixtures.
  • Develop plans, elevations, cross sections and detailed drawings.
