Job description

Ottawa’s Protak Consulting Group Inc. is seeking an Interior Designer for an ongoing project with the federal government.

This is a contract opportunity which strictly requires candidates with an active Security Clearance from the Government of Canada.

Scope of Work

The Interior Designer Will Be Tasked With The Following:

  1. Provide interior design services support, including partition planning, furniture layouts, co-ordination of: style, finishes, materials and colour for interior architectural and interior design elements, and furniture and furnishings for assigned projects.
  2. Assist in routine, small-scale interior design furnishings maintenance activities that may encompass refurbishment, repair or replacement.
  3. Assist indeterminate interior designers with preparation of administrative and procurement documents, purchase orders and material files.
  4. Assist indeterminate interior designers with the preparation of design concept, presentation and material files with MS PowerPoint and Sketch-up software.
  5. Assist indeterminate designers with updating and tracking financial expenditure, project schedules, warehouse and shipping information for interior design projects and services.
  6. Prepare, organize and maintain design records, files, samples, catalogues, and other information products.
  7. Assist in the delivery of small-scale and routine interior design project support to senior interior designers in assigned interior design, refurbishment, maintenance and other projects.
  8. Provision of administrative services to management team and Project Interior Designers.
Requirements:
  1. A relevant University degree related to Interior Design.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, including previous government experience.
  3. An active security clearance with the Government of Canada.
  4. Candidates must provide references with each project listed in their resume.
