The Department of Applied Human Nutrition invites applications for the position of Interim Nutrition Support and Practicum Advisor.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chair of the Department, the Interim Nutrition Support and Practicum Advisor will collaborate with the Dietetic Program Director, Internship Education Program Coordinator, Graduate Studies Coordinator, and faculty to support program objectives. Responsibilities include program evaluation related to accreditation and external reviews, implementation and monitoring of ICDEP, program promotion, student professional education, and other duties as assigned. The role involves updating departmental documents, maintaining websites and social media, organizing student events, supporting exam preparation, and managing graduate applications and resources.
Qualifications
The candidate should possess a relevant Bachelor's degree (Nutrition, Education, Business Administration) with at least two years of related experience; a Master's degree is preferred. Must be a registered dietitian or eligible for registration in Nova Scotia. Membership with Dietitians of Canada is advantageous. The role requires strong relationship-building, organizational, communication, project management, and evaluation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media, and experience with systems like Colleague and SharePoint. An interest in dietetic education and professionalism is essential.

Position is a 7-month full-time temporary contract, starting July 2025 through February 2026. Salary is $54,144 per annum, prorated for the term.
