Context

xNorth is supporting a mid-sized manufacturing company undergoing operational transformation. We seek senior leadership to reinforce the demand planning and S&OP function, aiming to implement a structured, cross-functional planning process to improve visibility, forecast reliability, and decision-making.

Mission

We need a senior leader to design and lead a robust S&OP process, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to align capacity, inventory, and production plans with demand. The role involves strategic and operational responsibilities, including managing transformation and daily planning activities.

Key Objectives
  • Improve forecast accuracy by integrating inputs from Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain
  • Establish a collaborative and structured S&OP cycle
  • Lead planning meetings and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Build internal capabilities through coaching and process implementation
  • Support better decisions on inventory, production, capacity, and customer service
Responsibilities
  • Assess current planning and forecasting environment
  • Implement and lead the end-to-end S&OP cycle
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to align forecasts with strategies
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to translate demand into operational plans
  • Define and monitor planning KPIs and dashboards
  • Run planning meetings, facilitate collaboration, and ensure accountability
  • Transfer knowledge and ensure sustainability of the process
Profile
  • 10+ years experience in Supply Chain, with demand planning and S&OP expertise
  • Proven ability to align Sales, Marketing, and Operations within planning frameworks
  • Background in food & beverage manufacturing, FMCG, or supply chain-intensive sectors
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills for cross-functional alignment
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and structured to deliver impact quickly
