A prominent educational organization in downtown Toronto seeks an Interim Director to engage Jewish students and transform campus life. The role involves supervising staff, supporting student leaders, and developing community strategies. Offering a competitive salary range of $65,000-$75,000, this contract position runs until April 30, 2026. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of experience in related fields.
The Director at Hillel TMU is a creative and engaging individual with a strong sense of Jewish leadership and a bold vision to transform Jewish life on campus. Hillel Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) is seeking a creative and engaging individual with a strong Jewish and Israel background, and is capable of working both independently and as part of a team. You are warm and welcoming, and can bring your passion for building Jewish community to this downtown Toronto campus. You will inspire and mentor students, and will use these skills to engage students and drive Hillel’s mission, values and goals. You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be flexible and adaptable in building strategy and approach to an evolving and expanding Hillel.
This is a contract position running through April 30, 2026.

Hillel Ontario serves approximately 14,000 Jewish students across nine universities, and is the largest regional Hillel system in the world. A model for the Hillel movement, Hillel Ontario was created on October 1, 2015 and strives to inspire every Jewish student in Ontario to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning and Israel.
Hillel TMU is located in downtown Toronto and serves a primarily commuter student population. It is a launching pad for Jewish activity, catering to the needs and diverse interests of students. Hillel TMU ensures that emerging adults can find their own meaningful paths to Jewish identity. Hillel TMU seeks to engage every Jewish university student, from those with strong Jewish backgrounds to those with none at all. Student-designed and student-led programs challenge them to learn and grow, choosing from an array of religious, cultural, political and social options based on individual interests.
