Job summary

IFG - International Financial Group is partnering with a well-established organization to hire an experienced Interim Corporate Controller for a long-term contract. The role is hybrid with 3 days per week in office and focuses on hands-on leadership in month-end and statutory reporting.

The position oversees a finance team, drives process improvements, coordinates with external auditors, and ensures compliance within an ASPE reporting environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Solid ASPE knowledge.
• Experience in a multi-entity organization; multinational exposure is an asset.
• Proven to operate as both a hands-on contributor and people leader.
• Strong systems and Excel skills; Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting and reporting processes
• Oversee operational accounting, financial reporting, statutory reporting, audit and tax-related activities
• Manage and develop a finance team, including experienced accounting professionals/managers
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements and supporting schedules
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow activities
• Oversee accounting across multiple wholly owned legal entities
• Work within an ASPE reporting environment
• Partner with external auditors and tax advisors
• Drive process improvements and support finance-related projects
• Provide financial guidance and business partnering across the organization

Hybrid: 3 days per week in office

Contract: Approximately 15–18 months

This is a hands-on doer/reviewer leadership role for a strong accounting professional who can manage the month-end and statutory reporting environment while providing leadership to an established finance team.
