Position: Interim Business License / Indirect Tax Consultant

About the Role: We are actively recruiting for a Senior Tax Consultant to join our client on a consulting basis. This is an onsite role with a renowned company in South Gate, CA. We are urgently seeking an experienced professional to assist with business license renewals, indirect tax, and sales & use tax. This consulting engagement requires an immediate start and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Track and maintain all business licenses, permits, and business taxes for the company.
2. Calculate necessary liabilities as required.
3. Ensure timely payment by providing instructions to the AP department or by processing payments online.
4. Handle indirect tax returns.

Qualifications:

1. Strong background in business license renewals, indirect tax, and sales & use tax.
2. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
3. Ability to thrive without much supervision and be a self-starter.
4. Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
5. Must be available to work onsite five days a week.
