Job description

The Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant diploma program prepares students to work in today's dynamic health care system. This program provides students with a strong occupational and physical therapy assistant background and incorporates essential assistant-level skills in therapeutic recreation and speech-language pathology. Extensive hands-on learning using equipment and technology in the lab combined with practicum placements prepare students to transition seamlessly into a discipline-specific or interdisciplinary role in rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • English proficiency: IELTS (academic): 6.0, minimum 6.0 in each skill band
  • Contact information: Please provide your personal (self), and emergency contact information. This should be your direct contact, where we can reach you if needed. As well as your emergency contact, where we can reach you in case of an emergency.
  • Work history: If you have any work experience, whether full-time or part-time, in Canada or abroad, please provide a detailed record of your employment history. Your work experience details must exactly match what was submitted in any previous IRCC applications (e.g., study permit, visitor visa), if applicable.
  • Resume: Provide your resume.
  • Alberta student number: Provide your Alberta Student Number (ASN).
