Carrier Sekani Family Services in Prince George, BC is seeking an Intensive Family Therapeutic Clinician to provide in-home therapy to families with children at risk of placement. The role emphasizes crisis intervention and family-based care in community settings.

Sessions may occur in evenings, weekends and holidays; after-hours crisis support is available. A graduate degree in counseling is preferred, with three years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Graduate degree in counseling preferred; Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field and at least three years of experience with children and families, crisis intervention and counseling required.
• Equivalent combination of education, training or experience may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Provide intensive therapeutic in-home services to families with children at imminent risk of placement or in placement.
• Deliver therapeutic services primarily in client homes and other locations typical of a family’s routine.
• Schedule sessions at times convenient for families, including evenings, weekends and holidays, maintaining a flexible workweek.
• Be available after hours for crisis situations and inform supervisor as needed.

The Opportunity

• Serve families whose children are at imminent risk of placement or who are in placement and cannot be reunified without intensive therapeutic in-home services
• Provide therapeutic services primarily in client homes and other locations typical of a family’s routine.
• Schedule sessions at times that are convenient for families and when problems are likely to occur, which may occasionally include evenings, weekends and holidays. Maintain a flexible workweek.
• Be available after hours to client families for crisis situations outlined at intake. Advise supervisor or supervisor’s designee if unavailable

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Graduate degree in counseling, or a closely related field preferred;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or closely related field and at least three years of experience working with children and families, using crisis intervention and counseling required;
• An equivalent combination of education, training, or experience may be considered

Wage Range:

The target hiring range for this position is $43.72 to $56.62 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
