Intensive Complex Needs Clinician (Psychotherapist / Social Worker)

This position offers a flexible work arrangement, with a few days in the office (2 days per week) unless business needs dictate otherwise.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Lead, the clinician provides mental health therapeutic services, including assessment and treatment, to youth with complex needs and their families within a Live-In-Treatment (LIT) environment. The goal is to enhance their ability to function within the community and improve daily living skills.

The position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit. Internal applicants will be considered first.

Hourly pay range : Step 1 - $46.45; Step 2 - $48.78; Step 3 - $51.22.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, clinical consultation, and develop treatment plans.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Develop clinical formulations and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in discharge and aftercare planning.
  • Attend team meetings and case conferences.
  • Provide case management as needed.
  • Work 2-4 days per week at LIT, including some evenings.

Service Delivery

  • Contribute to the development of clinical service models within LIT.
  • Support clinical programming and treatment plan implementation.
  • Model clinical interventions and support team members.
  • Participate in DBT consultations and staff debriefings.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete clinical documentation and assessment tools.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and client records.
  • Contribute to service planning and evaluation.

Community Involvement

  • Build relationships with community partners.
  • Represent the agency at community meetings and case conferences.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
  • Membership in good standing with a relevant regulatory college.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and experience delivering full model DBT preferred.
  • Experience with children and adolescents presenting complex issues.
  • Leadership and team collaboration skills are assets.
  • Computer proficiency and cultural competence are required.
