The focus of this role conduct integrity risk assessments using in-house tools and techniques to support department goals and job accountabilities and stakeholders’ requests. You will also lead continuous improvement of risk assessment tools, processes, and methodologies.

What you will do:

  • Conduct risk assessment of pipeline integrity threats to support risk treatment decisions.

  • Support the upkeep of system-wide risk assessment for mainline and facilities integrity threats.

  • Lead and support the development and continual improvement of risk and reliability assessment tools, models, and processes.

  • Respond to stakeholder requests to support risk evaluation and treatment decisions.

Who you are:

  • Engineering degree from accredited University.

  • Registered member, or eligible to register with Engineer-In-Training with APEGA in the Province of Alberta.

  • 2-4 years of engineering experience.

  • Knowledge of statistical tools (e.g., @RISK), large databases (e.g., Power Pivot, Power Query and/or Power BI) and proficient in scripting languages (e.g. Python).

  • Knowledge of finite element analysis using Abaqus software.

  • Effective interpersonal skills.

  • Critical thinking skills related both to technical engineering/risk analysis and project management.
