Job summary

GeoSpectrum Technologies in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Software Developer – Integration to join our team onsite. This role develops software that interfaces directly with hardware components, including audio cards and non-acoustic sensors, and works closely with systems engineers to refine interfaces.

The ideal candidate is a junior to intermediate software developer with strong C/C++ skills, Linux experience, and a knack for solving hardware-software challenges.

Qualifications

• Strong C or C++ skills with hands-on hardware experience.
• Proficient in Linux environments and Python scripting.
• Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to interface with hardware components, including audio cards and non-acoustic sensors.
• Test new hardware interfaces to validate performance, including high channel count and high sampling rate audio cards.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to define and refine hardware interfaces.
• Support automation efforts using Python and Bash scripting.
• Work within a Linux-based development environment.
• Contribute to a growing software integration team, working alongside developers and QA.
