Job summary

Donna Cona Inc. in Ottawa is seeking a senior Integration Designer for a contracted engagement with a government client. You will deliver detailed component-level integration designs, interface specifications, and mapping documents, acting as the bridge between architecture intent and buildable specifications.

This is a design and documentation role, not coding. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in integration design, with exposure to Red Hat/Camel and Azure, plus OpenAPI/Swagger design, Kafka

Qualifications

• Valid security clearance at Secret level.
• 6+ years in integration design, with Red Hat/Camel and Azure environments.
• Experience with Apache Camel Enterprise Integration Patterns and low-level designs.
• Kafka event schema design (Avro or JSON Schema).
• OpenAPI/Swagger contract design for API gateway.
• Azure Service Bus and Logic Apps; Dynamics 365/Dataverse data models.
• Data mapping and transformation design (XSLT, JSONata or similar).
• UML/sequence diagrams and Confluence/SharePoint documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce interface specifications, mapping documents and low-level designs.
• Bridge architecture intent and buildable specifications for government client integration.
• Work on detailed, component-level integration designs; focus on documentation over coding.

Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking an Integration Designer for one of our key government clients and will be responsible for detailed, component-level integration design that implements the architecture patterns set by the Design Lead. Will produce interface specifications, mapping documents and low-level designs (LLDs) and act as the bridge between architecture intent and buildable specifications.

Ideal profile: A senior integration analyst or designer who writes specifications for others to build from. This is a design and documentation role, not a coding role.

Candidate MUST Have The Following

• A valid security clearance at the level of Secret;
• Over six (6) years in integration design, ideally with Red Hat/Camel and Azure integration environments;
• Apache Camel Enterprise Integration Patterns and how to express them in low-level designs;
• Kafka event schema design (Avro or JSON Schema, schema registry);
• OpenAPI/Swagger contract design for 3Scale or a similar API gateway;
• Azure Service Bus and Logic Apps; Dynamics 365/Dataverse data models;
• Data mapping and transformation design (XSLT, JSONata or similar); and
• UML/sequence diagrams and Confluence/SharePoint documentation.
