About the Role

Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) provides clinical counselling services to employees of client organizations who may be experiencing problems in their personal, family, or work lives. The program also offers organizational services such as workplace consulting, training, and critical incident stress management responses. As a social enterprise of Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV), FSEAP is a fee-generating business that supports FSGV and the Greater Vancouver community.

This role primarily involves providing front-line support to clients calling into the Care Centre (Counselling / Crisis Line and Service Intake Centre). Responsibilities include assessing client needs, determining when to escalate to a Masters Level Counsellor, following up on service requests, contacting clients about services and referrals, and performing administrative tasks like data entry. Collaboration with team members and managing telephonic client contact are essential.

What You Bring: Education, Training, Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of customer service experience supporting critical needs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Experience with client contact regarding mental health needs
  • Ability to assess when to refer to a Clinical Intake Counsellor
  • Experience in fast-paced, multitasking environments
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
