Reporting to the Counselling and Professional Development (CPD) Supervisor, the Intake Counsellor is responsible for providing intake assessments and clinical counselling services to the women, children, youth, men, and families accessing the CPD program of YW Calgary. This position involves identifying the most appropriate services and effective approaches for clients using evidence-based assessment tools. This role is also responsible for providing group and one-on-one counselling.
This position typically works 37.5 hours per week and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. It is based at our Hub but may require some travel. The role also involves frequent exposure to individuals experiencing significant trauma, crisis, and mental health challenges.
