POSITION: Administrative Support (Term until March 2026), Full-Time
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Data entry, opening, closing, and processing transfers on the CFS Information System and Intake Module.
- Typing, editing, formatting, and transcribing reports, forms, correspondence, files, recordings, minutes, case planning notes, and other materials as assigned by the Unit Supervisor.
- Preparing daily and monthly Unit statistics and maintaining files in ANCR’s filing repository.
- Receiving, screening, assessing, transferring telephone calls, and taking messages.
- Providing support to other administrative staff and covering for the ANCR Receptionist as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of the impact of colonization, residential schools, and the 60’s scoop; commitment to decolonization; and knowledge to mitigate stereotypes and myths about Indigenous Peoples.
- Grade 12 plus a certificate in a 1-year Administrative Course, or relevant experience and education.
- At least 3 years of experience in administrative support roles.
- Experience with reception, mail processing, and filing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with staff and the public.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Fluency in French and/or an Indigenous language is an asset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability to a changing workplace and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of department programs and experience with the Intake Module / CFSIS is an asset.
- Core competencies include communication, cultural competence, customer focus, decision-making, collaboration, organizational skills, and stress tolerance.
- Successful criminal records check, prior contact check, and Child Abuse Registry check.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
