Int / Snr Geotechnical Engineer - Tailings

Our client is seeking an intermediate or senior geotechnical or geological engineer to support technical design and review in construction services, with specific expertise in mine tailings, slope stability, and earthworks construction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and at least 5 years of practical experience. You should be capable of independently reviewing designs and making decisions, while also being able to collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams, often in remote and challenging environments.

Additional experience in site/ground improvement, construction, and geotechnical designs is advantageous and can lead to diverse workloads and long-term career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support project clients and manage workload as a technical engineer
• Contribute to the company culture by mentoring, training, and supervising junior staff
• Assist in organizing field programs, including site investigations, construction, and dam safety inspections
• Support senior engineers with project and client management as needed
• Travel to remote sites for extended periods may be required

Qualifications / Attributes

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or related field is preferred
• Experience with tailings management and dam design
