Job Overview

Our client is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in mine tailings, slope stability, and earthworks construction to support technical design and review in construction services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation with 5+ years of practical experience, excellent technical expertise, and the ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary project teams.

Additional experience in site/ground improvement, construction, and geotechnical designs would be an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical engineer supporting project clients and workload
  • Embody the company culture by supporting training, mentoring, and supervision of junior staff
  • Help organize field programs, including site investigation, construction, and dam safety inspections
  • Assist Senior Engineers with project and client management as required
  • Projects may require travel to remote sites for extended periods
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (MSc or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or related specialization desired)
  • Tailings Management and Tailings Dam Design experience
  • Well-rounded geotechnical and geological knowledge
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external clients
