  • Insurance Specialist will provide support to our client customers.
  • Provide coverage and program details, answers to various insurance questions relating to umbrella insurance and provide follow-up correspondence.
  • This is an essential position with on-site manual fulfillment, invoicing functions, transaction processing, and call center support.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming telephone calls, chats, and tickets.
  • Assist with order problems, exchanges, edits, and tracking.
  • Develop a knowledge of insurance products, services, etc. and effectively convey this information to customers.
  • Understand and resolve compliance issues in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Be an active team member and support overall teamwork and morale.
  • Adhere to all established procedures, policies, and safety rules.
  • Superb customer service skills and professionalism with a strong ability to diffuse customer concerns.
  • Evaluate individual customers' needs and propose additional insurance products based on personal and business needs.
  • Reconcile client payments against the policy administration system.
  • Maintains customer records by updating account or policy information.

  • Required Experience

  • Property and Casualty License in the State of PA Preferred
  • College degree preferred or equivalent years of industry experience and high school diploma.
  • 3-5 years of experience in personal insurance background working with umbrella coverages.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills evaluating individual insurance needs and offering appropriate products / solutions relating to personal lines of umbrella coverage.
  • Prior experience working in a call center environment.
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities to be purposeful and solve complex issues.
  • Experience with CRM- Customer Relationship Management System preferred.
  • Possess excellent written communication skills for customer correspondence, be able to speak broadly and question customer's needs.
  • Ability to identify process efficiencies and manage daily activities in a thorough and accurate fashion.
  • Umbrella insurance policy experience for personal lines of insurance

    Healthcare Insurance : Synectics offers eligible employees and their dependents healthcare coverage through BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois. Eligibility begins on the 1st day of the calendar month following 60 days of continuous full time employment with Synectics. Premiums are subsidized by Synectics.

    Dental Insurance : Synectics offers eligible employees and their dependents a dental plan through MetLife. Eligibility begins on the 1st day of the calendar month following 60 days of continuous full time employment with Synectics.

    Vision Insurance : Synectics offers eligible employees vision insurance through VSP. Eligibility begins on the 1st day of the calendar month following 60 days of continuous full time employment with Synectics.401(k) Plan : The Synectics Inc. Investment Savings Retirement Plan. Synectics offers all employees who are 21 years of age or older the opportunity to invest in the 401(k) Plan on the first enrollment date that is at least 30 days after employment begins. Enrollment dates are each January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st.

    Technical Certification Bonus : Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
