Base pay range

CA$48,000.00 / yr - CA$54,000.00 / yr

Job Summary

The Insurance Specialist will handle communication with customers and insurance companies, ensuring all information is current. This role requires professionalism, multi-tasking, prioritization, and effective time management. The position reports to the Insurance Analyst Team Lead.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist new customers with setting up insurance requirements with their providers.
• Keep customer insurance documents up to date.
• Assist with insurance claims involving Summit Fleet’s trucks.
• Create and maintain documentation of job duties and processes.
• File and document claims on internal recoveries for damaged vehicles.
• Assist in legal disputes related to auto claims.
• Manage customer insurance for Summit Fleet.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and self-management skills.
• Organized with attention to detail and critical thinking.
• Ability to build relationships and interact at all levels.
• Team player.
• Capable of performing well under stress.
• Willing to learn internal software.

Education and Experience

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 2-3 years in an office / customer service environment.
• Experience with commercial insurance is preferred.
• College degree is preferred.
