Job summary

The Boyd Group in Winnipeg, Manitoba is seeking a Treasury & Risk professional to support insurance, treasury activities, and risk management. You will assist with claims, risk exposure analysis, and reporting while liaising with operations and external parties.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of corporate administrative experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A post-secondary background in business/finance or economics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, accounting, finance, or economics, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years' experience performing corporate administrative tasks or interacting with financial services providers.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with operations.
• Experience in treasury operations and/or forecasting; insurance brokerage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect loss incident information and evidence for vehicle thefts, collisions, natural disasters, general liability, cyber attacks, etc.
• File insurance claims and respond to adjuster inquiries; track claims to closing.
• Compile risk exposures for policy renewals.
• Advise operations on how insurance programs can reduce risk on a case-by-case basis.
• Report claims status to Manager, Treasury & Risk and other stakeholders.
• Respond to attorney requests for information.
• Identify opportunities to reduce financial loss through loss-prevention activities.
• Process insurance invoices for payment and advise GL account coding.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Assist with Treasury work as needed.
