Reporting to the Operations Manager, the overall purpose of this position is to provide centralized high-volume underwriting support for the Automobile Underwriting Departments across Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:
  1. Use CNA's Internal Underwriting application to triage and process mid-term change endorsements for automobile policies, ensuring completeness and accuracy according to established guidelines.
  2. Use CNA's internal systems to rate automobile policies.
  3. Communicate effectively with Underwriters and Brokers for verification and qualification of information, requesting additional details as needed for the underwriting file.
  4. Determine premiums for mid-term change endorsements accurately.
  5. Use premium systems to book endorsements and handle endorsement premium discrepancies.
  6. Triages rush requests within the same business day.
  7. Manage endorsement requests through the public mailbox to completion between Field offices and Operations.
  8. Upload emails and endorsement correspondence to the internal document management system.
  9. Familiarize and apply best business practices towards centralized service and maintain quality standards.
  10. Compare past terms with new broker updates before making changes in CNA's Underwriting application.
  11. Document underwriter rationale with each update.
  12. Advise underwriters of any missing information or additional details required.
  13. Identify red flags such as sanctions, restricted countries, sales, claims, notes/emails, risk control issues, critical recommendations, outstanding premiums, etc.

Qualifications:
  1. University degree or college diploma, aspiring to attain or having been granted the Chartered Insurance Professional designation.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  3. A proven track record in customer service, with strong interpersonal skills, analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Must be detail-oriented.
  4. Customer service focus with excellent communication skills.
  5. Ability to conceptualize details and develop action plans for problem-solving and decision-making.
  6. Ability to work independently and within a team with limited supervision.
  7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
