Our client, a distinguished law firm renowned for expertise in litigation, advocacy and risk management is looking to add a Senior Law Clerk to their team.

Law Clerk Duties

Duties of a law clerk include the following tasks:

  1. Managing and reviewing lawyers’ calendars regarding upcoming events.
  2. Correspondence to counsel regarding productions, IMEs, motion dates (booked by clerk), and undertakings.
  3. Correspondence to client regarding updates on file (when asked by lawyer), payments for productions/transcripts, and requesting documents when preparing AOD if necessary.
  4. Correspondence to experts/investigators (retainer letters) regarding IMEs, expert reports, and surveillance.
  5. Correspondence to insured regarding productions, undertakings, and advising of trial.
  6. Drafting AODs, Motion Records (drafting, service and filing), production of AOD, validation of service, enforcement of settlement, removal of solicitor of record, Orders for Motions, confirmations of motions, cost outlines, Orders and Consents for dismissal, Full and Final Releases, undertaking charts, acknowledgement of expert duty forms, Offers to Settle, summaries of productions (as requested by lawyer), summaries of surveillance (as requested by lawyer), writs of seizure and sale, trial documents/briefs, and summons to witness.
  7. Briefing of AODs, undertakings, client documents, medical briefs, and expert briefs (damages/liability briefs).
  8. Scheduling of Motions, IMEs, and surveillance.
  9. Conducting corporate searches, title searches, skip traces, and social media searches.
