Job description

We are looking to add an Insurance Broker to our team. In this role, you get to play to your strengths of solid insurance knowledge and helping clients. You get to work autonomously yet be part of a larger team committed to understanding our customers to ensure they are protected and get the level of service they deserve. This role can be either personal lines or farm & commercial based, we have the opportunity for both!

We get that flexibility is important to you so this role is available for hybrid work but if you would prefer to be in the office we are open to that too as we currently support both models with our team. So what will you spend your days doing?

Working as part of a team, actively service, maintain, and help grow a personal lines book of business, more specifically …

  • Your focus will be to service an assigned book with the option to also earn additional commission for any new business sales you bring to R.K. Mooney.
  • Manage all aspects of the customer life cycle from quote to renewal, endorsements, remarket and cancellations.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of risk and underwriting information to ensure accuracy and optimal insurance solutions for your clients; they are looking to you to be their trusted advisor to make sure they have the right protection for their unique needs.
  • Take new claim reports, help clients navigate through this process with empathy, and submit them to the insurance carrier
  • Diligent follow up on clients’ accounts to ensure outstanding activities are resolved.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers.
  • Advocate for your clients and support our customer-first mindset and culture.

Qualifications

  • Must be RIBO licensed.
  • Minimum 1year of experience in a broker role, focusing on either Personal Lines or Commercial Lines
  • Proven track record servicing an assigned book of business.
  • Remain current and develop expertise in assigned markets and stay open to new market opportunities.
  • Demonstrated relationship building expertise.
  • Must remain professional and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of TAM or EPIC is an asset.
