Job summary

RBC Life Insurance seeks a Planner / Scheduler to join our infrastructure planning team across Ontario. You will lead planning, estimating, and execution for complex transportation and civil construction projects, collaborating with project, engineering and commercial teams.

Ideal candidates have 4–10 years in transportation or civil construction, Primavera P6 experience (training available), and a valid G license with willingness to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of experience in Transportation or Civil Construction; experience with roads, highways, bridges, utilities, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Experience as a Planner/Scheduler is an asset.
• Valid G driver's license and access to a vehicle; travel to project sites in Ontario may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones and critical path analyses.
• Support bid and baseline schedules for large, multi-year infrastructure projects.
• Monitor progress with project, engineering and commercial teams; identify schedule risks.
• Analyze delays, recommend recovery strategies and support claims management.
• Conduct regular progress reviews with site teams and provide schedule forecasts and reporting.
• Monitor subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with overall objectives.
• Maintain accurate project schedule updates throughout the project lifecycle.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced Planners/Schedulers as well as Project Coordinators, Site Engineers, or Construction Professionals looking to transition into a dedicated planning and scheduling career path.

Key Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and critical path analyses.

• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Ontario as required.
