Job summary

Navacord seeks a Commercial Lines Insurance Advisor to manage a renewal book for construction insurance and pursue new business opportunities. You will work with an Account Associate and COI team to service clients and expand coverage opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience in an Account Manager and/or Producer role.
• R.I.B.O. license required.
• Preference given to candidates with construction insurance experience and production experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewal book of construction insurance business and client service with support.
• Co-develop new construction client opportunities through the company’s value proposition.
• Review client coverage, exposures, and risk to determine insurance requirements and risk management strategies.
• Participate in client and prospect meetings as needed.
• Champion the Navacord brand and services at industry events.
• Maintain up-to-date broker management system (EPIC) and workflows.
• Collaborate with Bond Department staff as required.
• Develop knowledge of related insurance products and client needs.
• Participate in training and professional development.

The Commercial Lines Insurance Advisor is a dynamic dual function role consisting of managing a portfolio of high-quality construction insurance business and business development of new construction business. The role is supported by an Account Associate and Insurance Services (COI) team, with step-by-step production support provided through a dedicated BD team and advanced BD resources. WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Responsible for managing a renewal book of "house" construction insurance business, including day to day client service, marketing, renewals, and project specific and specialty coverages, supported by an Account Associate and Insurance Services (COI) team.
• Co-responsibility for developing new construction client opportunities through promotion of Company's industry-leading value proposition and team-based sales approach.
• Review client’s current coverage and exposures, loss experience, and analyze risk to determine and recommend product/service requirements and optimal ongoing insurance risk management strategy for the business.
• Participate in client and prospect meetings, as necessary.
• Champion the Company's brand and services through regular participation in industry association events.
• Ensure responsive and time sensitive service and renewals provided in accordance with our best practices and procedures.
• Insurance market relations and fostering productive and high-functioning relationships with underwriters.
• Maintain up-to-date broker management system (EPIC) in accordance with established workflows.
• Collaborate with Bond Department staff as required.
• Actively develop an increased knowledge of related insurance products and client needs.
• Participate in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience required in an Account Manager and/or Producer role.
• Preference given to candidates with construction insurance experience and production experience.
• R.I.B.O. license required.
• Ability to be a self starter with strong written and oralcommunication skills and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of policy wordings/coverages.
• Strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite, and preference given to candidates with EPIC experience.
