Insurance Advisor - Desjardins Agent Team Member

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customers with optimal solutions and expert guidance on how Desjardins products can meet their insurance needs now and in the future.
  • Deliver outstanding inbound and/or outbound advice, service, and sales related to insurance products, aiming to provide complete and correct solutions on the first contact.
  • Act as a process/product expert to address customer concerns, being accountable for problem-solving and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Work towards achieving set goals while representing the brand with innovation and trusted advice.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to resolve customer issues.
  • Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including inquiries about insurance availability, coverage, policy changes, claims, and billing.
  • Assist the agent in establishing and meeting marketing goals.

Requirements :

  • Sales experience (outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing) preferred
  • Track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Dedicated to customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and make presentations to potential customers
  • Passionate, engaging, and committed to delivering superior customer experiences
  • Property & Casualty license (preferred or ability to obtain; assistance provided)

Training will be provided for successful candidates.

Compensation includes salary, uncapped commissions, vacation and personal days, and benefits. Expected earnings: $60,000+.

This position is with an independent contractor agent within the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not directly with Desjardins Group. The agent is responsible for employment decisions regarding their staff.
