Looking to hire a permanent full-time Insurance Account Representative at a Desjardins Insurance office in London, Ontario. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, possess an assertive personality with consultative sales skills, have good customer relations skills, and be goal-driven.

The majority of activity in this role is directed toward the generation of new sales to existing and prospective clients. Selected candidate must be able to work collectively & independently within a small team environment. Seeking an entrepreneurial type candidate who is seeking career growth.

Job Duties:

1. Sell automobile, health, life, property, business and other types of insurance to clients.
2. Establish client insurance coverage, calculate premiums and establish method of payment.
3. Provide sales strategies, feedback & marketing plans (Generate Leads).
4. Provide knowledge/information concerning insurance packages, the range of risk coverage, benefits paid and other policy features (Keep up-to-date with industry developments).
5. Ensure appropriate forms, medical examinations and other policy requirements are completed.
6. Identify and solicit potential clients (Attending leads events, x-dating, marketing strategies, etc).
7. Inbound calls and email requests including cross-selling to book of business.
8. Making product recommendations based on customer needs.
9. Some administrative duties and overall pitching in as the work presents itself.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
