Job summary

Fine Drywall Ltd in Surrey, BC is seeking an experienced insulation installer to join our on-site team. You will read blueprints and specifications, measure and cut insulating materials, and apply them using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other methods.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience, a secondary (high school) certificate, and the ability to work on-site at client locations in the Metro Vancouver area.

Qualifications

• Secondary education completed as required for the trade.
• Experience reading blueprints or drawings for insulation work.
• Commitment to safety and quality on-site installations.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.
• Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials.
• Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings.
