Instrumentation Technician - Relocation to Drumheller/Brooks

Role Overview

Position: Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician (Maintenance)

Location: Brooks or Drumheller, AB

Shift: Monday to Friday; Overtime and weekends as needed

Pre-employment: D&A test required; Relocation assistance provided

Responsibilities

• Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies.
• Assist in maintenance, replacement, and installation of equipment.
• Perform calibrations and installations involving instrumentation tubing.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and specialty tools.
• Use advanced calibration equipment like Hart Communicators.
• Handle basic instrumentation test equipment and calibrations.
• Check continuity, resistance, voltages, and current with advanced meters.
• Work with systems such as compressor panels, RTUs, BMS, line heaters, and production equipment.
• Be aware of gas, LEL, and fire detection sensors and controllers.
• Work safely around live systems, including isolation and depressurizing.
• Repair equipment with guidance from Journeyman as needed.

Job Requirements

• Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician certification.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS certifications.
• Experience in oil and gas industry construction or maintenance is an asset.
• Ability to work outdoors and at heights in various weather conditions.
