Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Instrumentation Engineer specialized in final control, monitoring, and safety instrumentation for Gas Plants, NGL Fractionation Plants, Refineries, petrochemical plants, pipelines, and distribution facilities. The role is within the Process Automation and Systems Division of the Process & Control Systems Department.

The department offers services in process engineering, automation, new energy, and digitalization. The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, installing, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems, collaborating across disciplines, and participating in safety, innovation, and operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support all instrumentation types: level, temperature, pressure, control valves, emergency isolation valves, motor-operated valves, relief valves, flow measurement, level gauges, etc.
  • Conduct engineering studies to optimize solutions, enhance safety, increase revenue, and reduce costs.
  • Lead or support incident investigations and technical problem-solving teams.
  • Develop and maintain standards, specifications, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry codes.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, perform technical evaluations, and represent the company in technical dealings.
  • Assess and incorporate new technologies and best practices for industry-leading performance.
  • Perform cost and value engineering analyses to recommend cost-effective solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical); Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with major international oil & gas companies or instrumentation suppliers.
  • Experience in plant instrumentation sizing and selection.
  • Certifications such as ISA CAP, CFSP, TUV FSEng, PE, or Chartered Engineer license are desirable.
  • Knowledge of H2S, LEL, pH, conductivity, O2 analyzers, gas detectors, and chromatographs is preferred.
  • Proficiency with industry standards (API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE).
  • Experience as a lead engineer in HAZOP, SIL, P&ID reviews, and design.
  • Understanding of control systems, field instrumentation, communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, etc.).
  • Active membership in professional societies (ISA, IEEE) for at least 3 years.
