Instrumentation/Electrical Technician

Bring your electrical and instrumentation knowledge and experience to our Water team. Working in an industrial electrical environment, you will install, calibrate, maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation components, configure programmable logic controllers, wireless communication networks and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation problems in City Water Treatment & Supply facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Install, calibrate, maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation components in an industrial water treatment setting.
  • Configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and wireless communication networks.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation problems in City Water Treatment & Supply facilities.
Qualifications
  • Electrical Trade Ticket required
  • High School Diploma required
  • Class 5 Driver’s License required
  • Preference for FSR designation and/or Diploma in Instrumentation Technology
  • Ability to travel to the designated work location within 20 minutes due to emergency on-call requirements
Compensation and Benefits
  • Position is 40 hours per week with a rate of $45.69 per hour
  • CUPE bargaining unit position with employer-paid comprehensive benefits, paid vacation and a top pension plan
  • Career development plan for Red Seal Instrumentation ticket with potential to earn up to an additional $3 per hour upon completion
