INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Activity sector: Pulp and Paper

Site: Kamloops, BC

Wage: $52.69 per hour

Relocation: Allowance provided

Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance.

Your Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair process control instrumentation;
• Regular predictive/preventative maintenance;
• Servicing of control valves, emission monitors, and kraft pulp analyzers;
• Use computer diagnostics and testing to monitor, measure, and troubleshoot processes;
• Perform routine maintenance work.

Your Qualifications

• BC Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification;
• Experience in a safety-sensitive industrial environment;
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance software (e.g., SAP);
• Possessing a dual ticket in Electrical and/or HVAC is an asset.
