A leading energy company in Fort Saskatchewan is looking for Instrumentation/Analyzer Technicians. The role involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting of process field devices. What's the role
Shell is seeking two (2) Instrumentation/Analyzer Technicians (internally known as R183135 Craft Team Member-Ref/Chem/Dist Analyzer) who will report to the Instrumentation/Analyzer Maintenance Leader (MTL) in either the Refinery or Chemicals division of the Scotford Maintenance Department (MCTA).
The Instrumentation/Analyzer Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and troubleshooting activities within their skill set to support safe and reliable operations. Guided by the MTL, this role collaborates with other team members to execute a coordinated maintenance schedule. They also work closely with other craft disciplines to carry out repairs and perform preventative maintenance, ensuring high reliability and efficient equipment care.
The Refinery and Chemicals plants are represented by Unifor Local Union 530A. As such, successful candidates will be members of the Union upon hire. New employees will be provided with more details of the Collective Bargaining Agreement by a Union Representative during regular onboarding sessions.
The Shell Scotford Complex is a short drive from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and consists of a bitumen upgrader, oil refinery, chemicals plant and a carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility. Scotford has both union and nonunion hourly employees. The refinery and chemical plants are unionized, and the upgrader is not unionized.
