HeadHunting Inc. is seeking Instructor Therapists to provide intensive behavioral intervention for children and youth with autism in the Toronto area. The role involves delivering individualized services in various settings and participating in evidence-based programming. Ideal candidates will have a background in Autism and Behaviour Science and relevant experience in ABA-based programming. HeadHunting Inc works with many community services and is looking for Instructor Therapists / Behavioral Therapists around Toronto, Markham, Oshawa, Barrie, and Durham area.
As an Instructor Therapist, you will be responsible for intensive behavioural intervention, providing services for children and youth with autism. You will work with children and youth in home, clinic, centre, and classroom-based settings, both one-on-one and in small groups.
You may be scheduled to work evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day. You will be required to work out of client sites from time to time based on operational needs. Additionally, you may be assigned to different programs and services within the Autism division, with your primary work location potentially reassigned within a 50 KM radius based on operational needs.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Client Services
Deliver services using a combination of one-to-one and small group instruction. Provide individualized services to meet the needs of each child and youth based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Support families using a family-centered approach to identify strengths and needs, focusing on increasing skills.
Participate in delivering evidence-based ABA programming, including administering skill acquisition programs, teaching appropriate behaviors, reducing challenging behaviors, and teaching communication, social, play, and life skills.
Regularly liaise with parents to provide progress updates and support parent coaching sessions. Create teaching materials and collect and monitor data.
Data Collection and Review
Conduct behaviour or curriculum assessments. Monitor and track progress by maintaining detailed daily records on challenging behavior, skill acquisition, and intervention outcomes.
Administrative Duties
Maintain the clinical binder for each client, including preparing datasheets, daily graphing, and adjusting programming based on set revisions and mastery criteria. Participate in agency initiatives to enhance supports and services.
