Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Standard level C certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one intervention in home or community settings.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and in-session supervision.

INSTRUCTOR THERAPIST

Our clients are incredible people seeking care in Ottawa East and South Ottawa. Working with us, you would have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the community and access monthly team meetings and in-session supervision.

We are excited to work with you because:
  • You are passionate about working with individuals of all ages, specifically in our children and youth population.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team, including other Spark team members or community professionals.
  • You are reliable and organized.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have at least 6 months experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or providing ABA therapy.
  • You are able to provide one-to-one intervention in the home or community.
Rate of Pay:

Starting at $34.91+/hr

Requirements
  • Cover letter outlining why you would be a great match for Spark. Tell us who you are!
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Standard level C certification.
  • CPI, TCI, and/or NVCI (current certification).
  • Smartphone with a data plan.
  • A Clear Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months).
  • Bachelor’s Degree or currently enrolled in a university program related to Behavioral Science, Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Early Childhood Development.
Assets
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Driver's License G class with access to a vehicle.
