Job Summary

CIMT College seeks a Supervisor for the Personal Support Worker – Clinical program. The successful candidate will supervise students, follow CIMT College’s policies and procedures, and use provided instructor manuals and resources to train students in practical skills that prepare them for employment in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field.
  • Instruct the curriculum using only pre‑authorized and provided materials.
  • Teach through lectures, presentations, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, case studies, independent or group projects.
  • Employ appropriate adult teaching and learning strategies to communicate the subject matter to diverse students.
  • Administer and mark quizzes, assignments, exams, and other assessments to monitor and evaluate students’ progress according to guidelines and procedures.
  • Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and return marks promptly.
  • Provide feedback on student performance.
  • Collect and review feedback from students on the instructor, content, and facility at the end of each course.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to student needs and individual circumstances in a multicultural environment.
  • Resolve student complaints and concerns professionally.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Ensure classrooms are left clean and orderly, with no loss or damage to equipment or resources.
  • Support the admissions team with potential students who have questions about the program or future career.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and annual events such as graduation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student privacy and information.
  • Stay current in the subject matter through professional development.
  • Display teamwork and problem‑solving attitudes.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Skills Required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly and adapting to different learning styles.
  • Professional business attire and interpersonal skills to act as a mentor and role model.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 36 months of work experience in the same vocation (PSW/RN/RPN).
  • Must be a Personal Support Worker with a college certificate and a NACC certificate from a PSW program, post‑2015, or an active RN/RPN registered under the CNO.
  • Valid proof of Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Valid proof of clear TB test result.
  • Experience in a Canadian clinical environment, preferably in long‑term care, hospital, community, or chronic care settings, as a Personal Support Worker / RN / RPN active under the CNO.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university or an equivalent degree, or be a graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology, an OCC, or equivalent.
  • Meet instructor qualification standards as outlined in the Regulations to the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
  • Must be available to teach in the assigned clinical facility as per the accepted schedule.
Working Hours and Pay

Mon to Fri – Morning shift: 6:30 am / 7 am to 2:30 pm / 3 pm.
Mon to Fri – Evening shift: 2:30 pm / 3 pm to 10:30 pm / 11 pm.
Maximum 40 hrs/week.
Base Pay: CAD $20 / hr – $24 / hr.
