The Opportunity
The School of Health and Human Service at Keyano College has an opening for a Social Work Instructor in the Social Work Diploma program in a 3 year term role ending on or before June 30, 2028. The program is designed to prepare graduates to practice with individuals, families, groups, communities, and organizations in rural and urban settings. The successful candidate will teach primarily in the Social Work Diploma program but may also teach across the school of Health and Human Services.
Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Successful Candidate Will Be Required To
- Primarily teach social work diploma courses across the curriculum
- Maintaining office hours and student mentorship/engagement
- Performing field supervision and practicum support
- Engaging with community stakeholders
- Maintaining professional competence and knowledge of subject matter
Qualifications
Required Qualification:
- Masters of Social Work
- Two or more years of post MSW experience in the Social Work field.
- Minimum of five years of experience working as a registered social worker (Candidates must be registered with Alberta College of Social Work or be eligible for registration).
Nice to have
- Previous instructional experience in adult education or post secondary learning environments
- Experience with field education
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
