Job description

New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. Position Type: Term

Location & Duration:

  • Moncton - August 2025 to June 2026 (1 position)

Hours of Work: Full-time up to 36.25 hours/week.

Salary Range: $33.85 to $52.08 per hour, based on experience and level of post-secondary education.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Required qualifications for this opportunity include a high school diploma, or equivalency.
  • A valid Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification in Plumbing with a Red Seal Certificate.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have a minimum of three (3) years of related, recent work experience at the Journey person's level.

Professional Skills:

  • Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.
  • Working Knowledge of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

You will be collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair of Electrical and Pipe Trades, and a member of the faculty team. You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses may include, but may not be limited to:

  • Trade-related Math
  • Trade-related Communications
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Residential Fixtures
  • Drainage and Venting
  • Pipe and Fitting Assembly
  • Water Distribution
  • Hydronic Heating

You will be required to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, have the ability to plan and organize effectively in a team environment, and have an eager ability to integrate technology and active learning techniques into teaching practices.
