Job Responsibilities:

Casual instructors are hired by the Department of Arts & Sciences to teach courses in times of high demand. As a casual instructor, you will be assigned full responsibilities for courses assigned to you (i.e., preparing lessons, evaluating student progress, communicating with students and programs, etc.) over the course of the semester(s). Casual instruction in the Department of Arts & Sciences is not substitute teaching.

Expected classes for 2025-26 academic year include the following:

  1. Fall 2025: Applied Mechanics 4th Class Group A (32 hours/10.24 days)
  2. Fall 2025: Applied Mechanics 4th Class Group B (32 hours/10.24 days)
  3. Fall 2025: Applied Mechanics 3rd Class Group A (48 hours/15.36 days)
  4. Fall 2025: Applied Mechanics 3rd Class Group B (48 hours/15.36 days)
  5. Winter 2026: Thermodynamics 2nd Class Group A (64 hours/20.48 days)
  6. Winter 2026: Thermodynamics 2nd Class Group B (64 hours/20.48 days)
  7. Spring 2026: Applied Mechanics 2nd Class Group A (64 hours/20.48 days)
  8. Spring 2026: Applied Mechanics 2nd Class Group B (64 hours/20.48 days)
