SIIT is recruiting for a Mental Health & Wellness Instructor. As the educational leader in the classroom, the Instructor in the Mental Health & Wellness program will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula aimed at promoting student success. This role involves organizing and implementing instructional activities that create a learning environment conducive to student achievement. The instructor will promote and foster an environment aligned with SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate. Key responsibilities include:
A Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Social Work, or a related degree is required. An understanding of adult learning theories and principles is considered an asset. Prior teaching experience is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience and knowledge in the Mental Health field. Ability to incorporate contemporary methodologies alongside Indigenous worldview and pedagogy is advantageous. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is also beneficial. A genuine commitment to helping students learn and succeed is essential.
