As we continue to expand our healthcare programs, we are seeking a dedicated Medical Device Reprocessing Instructor to help shape the future of sterile processing in Nova Scotia.

Role Summary

We are looking for a qualified and passionate MDR professional to join our academic team. The instructor will teach and mentor students in our Medical Device Reprocessing Technician diploma program, combining theory with hands-on training to prepare graduates for success in the healthcare system.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver instruction on topics such as decontamination, sterilization, quality assurance, infection control, and surgical instrumentation.
  • Lead lab-based demonstrations and support clinical readiness.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain records, attendance, and grading per institutional policy.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to enhance program outcomes and student experience.
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (CMDRT or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical reprocessing environment.
  • Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in student development.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
