We are currently seeking an instructor for our program: Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT)!

Successful candidates for this must have the following qualifications:

  1. Minimum 7 years of practical experience in an MDRT position in a hospital;
  2. Must be certified with CSA (Canadian Standard Association) approved Medical Device Reprocessing Technician;
  3. Active member in good standing with Canadian Association of Medical Device Reprocessing (CAMDR) and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Nova Scotia (MDRANS) preferred;
  4. Hands-on experience in medical device reprocessing;

Additional skills crucial to success in this position include:

  1. Excellent presentation and communication skills; attention to detail;
  2. Ability to assess and evaluate students in the field and/or classroom setting;
  3. Ability to instruct in class and/or during student practicum;
  4. Help prepare students to undertake the MDRT exam provided through CSA;
  5. Exemplary professionalism and networking skills;
  6. Training or teaching experience is considered an asset;
  7. Adult education certificates considered an asset;
