Job summary

Qualifications

  • Competence and recent experience with macOS, Windows OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps (design, video, UI/UX).
  • Experience with Blender, Unreal Engine or other 3D software is an asset.
  • Experience using the internet, email and MS Office, with ability to adapt to new technology.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective instructional ability and curriculum development experience.
  • Ability to work well in a changing team environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in all work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership and deliver curriculum for students.
  • Define and evaluate learning outcomes and select teaching resources.
  • Prepare and deliver instruction, assignments and demonstrations.
  • Develop and maintain agency/community relations.
  • Develop evaluation tools and monitor student progress.
  • Design and revise program learning materials for effectiveness.
  • Manage the learning environment and support students.
  • Participate in meetings and committees as required.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide academic leadership and ensure an effective environment for students through the planning, preparation and delivery of curriculum.
  2. Define and evaluate learning outcomes; develop appropriate teaching and learning strategies; and develop or select teaching resources.
  3. Prepare and deliver instruction, assignments, and demonstrations for educational purposes.
  4. Develop and maintain agency/community relations.
  5. Develop evaluation tools, facilitate practical skill evaluations and evaluate, monitor and record student progress.
  6. Ensure an effective environment for students through the design and revision of program learning materials.
  7. Manage the learning environment and provide support to students.
  8. Participate in meetings, committee work, etc. as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
  1. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of macOS, Windows operating systems, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications (design, video, UI & UX apps). Use of Blender, Unreal Engine or other 3D software is an asset.
  2. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, email, MS Office Suite software and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
  3. Effective interpersonal skills.
  4. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  5. Effective instructional ability.
  6. Ability to develop curriculum.
  7. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
  8. Values diversity, equity and inclusion in all work practices and interactions.
