Job summary

Job Title : Instructor / Inspector

Job Purpose : As a member of the BuildSafe team, the instructor / inspector is responsible for training and facilitating various courses and performing site inspections at client sites, applying OHSA knowledge to real construction environments.

Responsibilities :

  • Instruct and facilitate theory and practical lessons on health and safety topics.
  • Perform site inspections applying OHSA knowledge for compliance.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately.
  • Provide high-level customer service on and off site.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Assist with special projects as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :

  • Knowledgeable in OHSA & Regulations.
  • Construction or industrial work experience.
  • Certificate in Health & Safety is an asset.
  • Experience in training and facilitating adult learners.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements :

  • Shifts Monday to Friday, starting around 7 : 30 am, varying based on client requests.
  • End times vary depending on courses or sites.
  • Some days may exceed 8 hours.
  • Prolonged standing and walking are required.
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.
