The District of Saanich's Parks, Recreation and Community Services department is seeking a team player to help drive our mission of Healthy Nature, Healthy People, and Healthy Community, while supporting our vision: a Saanich where everyone belongs. You’ll work within a team where service excellence, learning and sharing, and feedback and accountability are highly valued, and where communication, trust, respect, and positivity form the foundation for everything we do.

Seeking an enthusiastic and safety-focused Instructor II - Gymnastics to join the Recreation Division at Gordon Head Recreation Centre. In this role, you will provide direct instruction, leadership, and program support for gymnastics programs. You will help ensure that facility rules are followed, equipment is safely stored, and each program environment remains clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months of related instructional experience; and related certification or, where certification does not exist, at least three months of training in the area of instruction. Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification are required, as applicable.

The successful candidates will normally work Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and may be required to substitute on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., based on operational needs. Hours and shifts are subject to change. Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, customer service, and adaptability skills are essential.
