Instructor, Dental Therapy
The College of Dentistry in partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Northlands College, and the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) are excited to announce the establishment of a new Dental Therapy Education program. In support of this new program, we are seeking applications for an Instructor for the Prince Albert Campus Site for a five-year (5) term. The College is seeking graduates from an accredited Dental Therapy program or Dentists (DMD or DDS) who have some experience at both the leadership and administrative level. Previous teaching and mentoring experience will be considered an asset.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience (some of which is in the last three years) who are subject matter experts in the area of Dental Therapy (as per scope of practice for Dental Therapists). Applicants must be adept at working in a clinical teaching setting with shifting priorities. The work can be complex in nature and work volume will fluctuate with peak periods that will require additional effort. Candidates must have a proven track record of effectively working in a team environment, have a pleasant disposition and proven ability to foster and maintain collegial relations. The successful candidate will be required to exercise sound judgment, independent decision-making, discretion, and sensitivity as these positions are privy to and work with sensitive and confidential information. Solid computer skills, proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with web-based instructional technology is an asset.
The salary range for Instructors is $66,355 - $106,663. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan, pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long-term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
