Job description

Job Duties / Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

Job Duties:

  1. Provide didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of performance in the Dental Therapy programs through lectures, seminars, and labs.
  2. Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings.
  3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current dental principles, procedures, techniques, and the principles of adult education.
  4. Develop and maintain course curricula.
  5. Conduct various aspects of program administration as required.
  6. Provide dental therapy services as required.

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, and Experience (QSA):

  1. Graduate of a Dental Therapy Program.
  2. Eligible for registration and licensure as a dental therapist in Saskatchewan.
  3. Related baccalaureate degree or working toward completion of a related degree.
  4. Training in educational theory and methodology.
  5. Minimum of two years recent and relevant dental therapy experience in a dental office utilizing current dental principles, procedures, and techniques.
  6. Effective instructional ability.
  7. Effective interpersonal skills.
  8. Demonstrated valuing of diversity.
