Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic invites applications for an Instructor - Corporate & Customized in Continuing Education. The contract runs Apr 1, 2027 through Jun 30, 2027, with a rate of $60 per hour for the online QuickBooks Online course.

Qualifications

• University degree or post-secondary diploma with a major in accounting or a combination of post-secondary education and experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Extensive experience (minimum of 2 years) using all elements of the software and ability to apply basic adult education principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate the delivery of accounting software courses including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and Sage Cloud Accounting.
• Answer student questions and provide individual feedback on assignments.
• Revise curriculum and develop learning activities and teaching plans for each assignment.
• Manage the classroom to provide an optimum learning environment for students.
• Collaborate with Continuing Education Consultant and colleagues in a team environment.

Required Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Extensive experience (minimum of 2 years) using all elements of the software. Ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required knowledge and skills.
• The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to teach individuals at different skill levels.
• The instructor will establish and maintain an interactive learning environment which includes practice activities.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• Recent relevant business/industry teaching experience is an asset.
• Must be available to travel across the province for customized training requests.
