Beechcraft King Air 200 Simulator Instructor

Are you passionate about aviation and dedicated to shaping the next generation of the Aviation industry? Look no further, As a Simulator Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction to students enrolled in Seneca’s leading edge Multi Crew Air Taxi Turboprop (MCATT) Program. It is an innovative program exclusive to Seneca where students operate the King Air in a simulated Air Taxi Operation, utilizing Standard Operating Procedures to expose students to a multi-crew operation.

Compensation

Starting salary within the range of $85.46/hr - $111.09/hr. An education and experience evaluation will be completed to accurately assign compensation rate. Potential for higher than quoted is possible.

Schedule

A required minimum of 2 to 3 days per month with varying hours per day with an average of approximately 6 to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chair of the School of Aviation and under the guidance of the Chief Flight Instructor or designate, an MCATT Instructor is responsible for

Simulator and Ground Instruction

  • Provide primary flight instruction to Bachelor of Aviation Technology students in accordance with the Training Manual (TM), Operations Manual (OM), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Deliver preparatory ground instruction, pre- and post-flight briefings to students in accordance with the TM and Transport Canada guidance material.
  • Provide meaningful feedback, grading reports, and progression records for each training event.


Administrative Tasks and Record-Keeping

  • Accurately maintain flight records, logs and forms for each training event.
  • Assist with the development of training materials and assigned projects under the direction of the Phase Leads and CFI.


Regulatory and Procedural Compliance

  • Actively participate in Seneca’s safety culture in accordance with the Safety Management System.
  • Ensure all licenses, ratings and medical are current.
  • Ensure you are fit for duty in accordance with the OM, TM, SOPs, and Transport Canada guidelines.


Required Licenses & Ratings

  • Category 1 Aviation Medical
  • Airline Transport Pilot License (Aeroplane)
  • Minimum valid Class 4 Flight Instructor Rating Preferred
  • Valid Group 1 Instrument Rating
  • Minimum completion of High school diploma or equivalent


Experience

  • Experience teaching in an Integrated CPL or ATPL program is an asset
  • 5 years of Commercial Flying Experience (PIC experience preferred)
  • Previous instructing experience
  • A completed post-secondary diploma or degree in Aviation is preferred
  • Beechcraft King Air experience is preferred but not required
